The COVID-19 pandemic was a shock to most, but had an overwhelming impact on the restaurant industry, forcing many operators to dramatically transform their business. In addition, shelter-in-place rules and the lack of in-person interaction left restaurant operators struggling to evaluate their diner’s needs and expectations. As we entered May of 2020, our team turned our focus to consumers, to answer some of the operator’s burning questions about their customers. This research resulted in a series of articles shared with restaurant operators and food service sales representatives.
